Can I submit the same pitch into multiple categories?
A: No. You have to submit your pitch in the most relevant category.
Can there be more than one person delivering the pitch in the same video clip?
A: Yes. The pitch is still eligible to win. However, clips with only one person delivering the pitch will more likely win because the flow of the delivery will be less choppy. Only person in the video will be notified by email.
Does the pitch have to be something I am currently working to make happen or do I need a prototype?
A: No. We are looking for ideas. You do not need to be working to make it a reality. However, showcasing a prototype of your idea may make your pitch more compelling. All pitches will be judged on the basis of the idea and its feasibility.
Does the prize money go towards acting on the idea?
A: No. The prize money is for coming up with a compelling idea. It is up to you how you choose to spend it, however it is strongly encouraged that you put the money towards developing your idea.
Are there any resources to help me come up with an idea or develop a pitch?
A: Yes. MPowered is your greatest resource. We have trained Peer Mentors to help you with that. In addition, we can guide and connect you to further resources, such as professors and funding opportunities.
I’m only a freshman. Will I have a chance to win?
A: Yes. Last year’s winners ranged from freshmen to PhD grads. It’s all about the idea and how you communicate it in the video clip.
Can I pitch more than once?

Can I pitch more than once in the same category?
